Description
The Apex Flipping Reel is the only reel specifically engineered for flipping. Designed by #2 all-time B.A.S.S. Elite money winner and King of Flipping Denny Brauer, its ergonomic frame shape minimizes hand discomfort and maximizes efficiency. Its total reel weight of 5.9 ounces reduces arm and shoulder fatigue, and its thin arbor spool and nose design improve flipping accuracy and eliminate the need for a level wind mechanism. The aluminum frame and carbon fiber handle provide strength with reduced weight. 11 lbs. of drag combined with 10 plus 1 ball bearings and 7.3:1 gearing for right hand model and 6.5:1 gearing for left hand model deliver strong close range retrieves.

Well all I can say, it's a beast. I have the 6:5.1 ratio. It is a great piece of craftmanship. You like close quarter combat. This is the reel for you.

Very cool reel !!! Super smooth, easy to set up and handle. Would be nice to have a heavier duty drag but works amazing so far.

I really dig this reel! I got it paired with the edge 7'9 XX Heavy, its a meatstick! This reel gets beat up flipping heavy grass and pulling out big fish on the upper chesapeake bay and could not perform any better. The accuracy and control i get with the modified spool is second to none. If you flip and pitch, this one is a must have!
