As an amateur I had no intention of owning a reel of this value. However when I felt the quality and how it flowed so light and smooth I was hooked. Mated with an Ardent Brauer medium action 7' rod and gliss line it is my all around work horse. I added an Ardent ComfortGrip to the rod for even better casting ease.John Bondy
