I have been using Ardent Reel Butter for years now. I use it on all my reels and definitely helps prolong reel life. Who doesn't want make your reels last longer. Every spring and when I put my bass gear away for winter, I re-grease and re-oil. I have had some of my reels for over 10 years. Spend the $10, you won't regret it.
